About me

I am Irma Zmiric Çetinkaya, a graphic designer and illustrator for children born in 1987 in Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I owe my graphic design and illustration skills to the International University of Sarajevo, where I obtained my bachelor degree in Visual Arts and Communication Design. With big passion for graphic design and illustration and wish to learn more, I decided to join the master program in Design at the Kadir Has University in İstanbul, obtaining the master degree in the 2014.
My working experience started in 2009, where I worked as a graphic designer in Croatia. In 2010 I moved to İstanbul, Turkey, where I worked as a graphic designer and Illustrator for children books and magazines.
Since 2011 I decided to go independent with my work, what I still do today. Today my major works are those of an illustrator for Turkish magazines for children, character designs and illustrations for children books, stories, games, posters. I also write and illustrate my own stories.
I also love to participate in charity projects, such as the illustrated bags project intended to support orphans in Africa. Additionally, I speak Bosnian, English, Italian and Turkish, love to travel and keep on exploring the magical world of illustration. I am married and I have a gorgeous daugther named Aylin Ema.
